Get The Look For Less | 2020 Trends Edition

Following trends can be expensive and exhausting. Between keeping up with them as they are always changing, to affording them.

But it doesn’t have to be!

You can keep up with what is current in fashion without having to sell your left arm to afford that new bag.

I’m going to highlight a few styles that are trending this season and show you less expensive alternatives so you can look fabulous while still following your budget! I assure you that you can still be chic while also being frugal.

1. White Dresses

Alexa Chung
Here is my first and probably favorite trend for summer and fall, white dresses! Whether for fall or summer, they are the perfect addition to any outfit. They are so versatile and can be dressed up or down.

Luxury Options

This first dress is from Ciao Lucia and is my first upscale option.
This dress makes me want to frolic around the french countryside while eating bread and I am obsessed.

This second dress is more suited for fall I think! It is a gorgeous maxi from LoveShackFancy. It is an absolute goal of mine to nab one of their dresses. I think they actually have a line out with target right now! I'll definitely have to check them out.

Affordable Options

My two affordable options are actually from H&M, and they happen to be a part of my wardrobe! The first one is my favorite because I honestly think it's more flattering on me. The second is perfect for a really hot day since it is so airy.

2. Slip Dress And Sneakers

My next trend is a combo I've seen all over Instagram recently, a slip dress paired with sneakers! I am obsessed with slip dresses. There is something so effortless about them, and when you pair them with sneakers it dresses them down, making it the perfect outfit for your day to day.

Luxury Options

This first dress is by Vince and it is absolutely gorgeous. The color is so soft, and it will pair perfectly with some white sneakers!

This lovely dress is by Lee Matthews and is a silk satin combo.

These sneakers are a net-a-porter exclusive from Common Projects.

3. Loungewear | Matching Sets

Let's be real, we have all been in the house for way too long. Loungewear has become the new work attire for most of us. So naturally, they will be very much in style right now! One of the biggest trends in loungewear is matching sets. I see them all over Instagram, and stores as I online shop (I've been doing a little too much of that lately!)

Luxury Options

A lovely striped pajama set by Rails.

A gorgeous pink floral pajama set by Sleeper.

4. Denim Skirts

Denim skirts have been trending for a while. I think because they are such a versatile piece they’ve hung on for quite a bit! I actually just bought a denim skirt today. (I’m not sure what took me so long to fully commit to this trend!) so I’m excited to participate!
